The game had a very big importance for second-ranked Japanese Tochigi Brex as it allowed them to take a leadership position. Tochigi Brex defeated 3rd placed Taiwanese Braves at home 105-88. Tochigi Brex dominated down low during the game scoring 76 of its points in the paint compared to Braves' 56. Tochigi Brex looked well-organized offensively handing out 27 assists. American guard DJ Newbill (193-1992, college: Penn State) fired 27 points, 5 rebounds and 5 assists for the winners. Swingman Makoto Hiejima (191-1990) chipped in 26 points and 5 assists. Tochigi Brex's coach used entire bench which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. American guard Archie Goodwin (196-1994, college: Kentucky) produced 23 points, 7 rebounds and 5 assists for lost side. Tochigi Brex have a solid series of three victories in a row. As mentioned above they are at the top of the standings, which they share with Seoul Knights and Pilots. Fubon Braves lost fourth consecutive game. They keep the third place with four games lost. They share the position with HK Eastern.
An exciting game between Top Four teams was played in Manila. First ranked Japanese Golden Kings faced 3rd placed Filipino Bolts. Guests from Okinawa (5-1) defeated host Bolts (3-3) 88-79. It ended at the same time the three-game winning streak of Bolts. Worth to mention a great performance of guard Yoshiyuki Matsuwaki (185-1997) who helped to win the game recording 18 points and 5 rebounds. Victor Law contributed with 15 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists for the winners. Cuban-Puerto Rican center Ismael Romero (205-1991) answered with 24 points and 9 rebounds for Meralco Bolts. Both coaches used bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. Golden Kings have an impressive series of five victories in a row. Ryukyu maintains first place with 5-1 record, which they share with Alvark Tokyo. Meralco Bolts at the other side dropped to the second position with three games lost. They share it with Kings and Xac Broncos.

Guests from Tokyo (5-1) defeated host Broncos (3-3) 97-93. Sebastian Saiz stepped up and scored 38 points (!!!) and 7 rebounds (made all of his fourteen free throws !!!) for the winners. At the losing side Barsbold Baatar-Erdene responded with a double-double by scoring 16 points, 9 rebounds, 12 assists and 4 steals. The victory was the fifth consecutive win for Alvark. Alvark Tokyo maintains first place with 5-1 record, which they share with Ryukyu. Xac Broncos lost their third game in a row. Defending Mongolian champion keep the second position with three games lost. They share it with Meralco Bolts and Kings.
